MATARAM (LE) – The Regional Tourism Promotion Agency (BPPD) continues to strengthen synergy with various stakeholders to ensure the success of its familiarization trip (famtrip) program, an initiative aimed at introducing the region’s tourism potential to a broader market. The famtrip, which will be attended by 50 tourists, is scheduled to take place from May 31 to June 2, 2026.
The collaboration involves tourism industry players, local government, tourism associations, media, and creative communities to support integrated and sustainable destination promotion.
Chairman of the Regional Tourism Promotion Agency, Sahlan M Saleh, MH, stated that the famtrip serves as one of the most effective strategies for introducing the advantages of tourist destinations, culture, culinary offerings, and creative economy potential to invited guests, travel agents, media, and influencers.
According to him, tourism promotion cannot be carried out alone; rather, it requires the support and involvement of all parties to maximize its impact on increasing tourist visits.
“Collaboration is the key to tourism development. Therefore, BPPD continues to build communication and cooperation with all stakeholders for the success of this famtrip,” he said.
Through this activity, famtrip participants will be invited to visit a number of flagship destinations, enjoy local cultural attractions, and see firsthand the tourism potential possessed by the region.
In addition to serving as a promotional event, the famtrip is also expected to open investment opportunities, strengthen destination branding, and boost community economic growth through the tourism sector.
BPPD is optimistic that with the support of all parties, the famtrip can run successfully and provide a positive impact on the development of regional tourism amid increasingly competitive tourism industry competition. (red)
