MATARAM, Indonesia (LE.ID)— President Prabowo Subianto used his working visit to West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) on Friday to outline five strategic messages aimed at guiding the province’s future development, coinciding with Governor Lalu Muhamad Iqbal’s 54th birthday.
The visit, highlighted by the inauguration of Meninting Dam as part of the simultaneous launch of five national dams, underscored the central government’s commitment to strengthening regional development and national food security.
Addressing regional leaders and the public, President Prabowo emphasized that development should be driven by unity, integrity, and tangible benefits for the people.
He outlined five key priorities for NTB:
Strengthening Unity – Maintaining social cohesion as the cornerstone of sustainable development.
Honoring Public Trust – Delivering on the mandate entrusted by the people through concrete actions and effective governance.
Ensuring Meaningful Development – Making sure infrastructure projects, including Meninting Dam, directly benefit farmers by providing reliable irrigation and supporting food security.
People-Centered Leadership – Formulating policies based on common sense and a genuine commitment to improving public welfare.
Clean and Accountable Government – Upholding integrity, combating corruption, and ensuring every rupiah of public funds is managed responsibly for the benefit of the people.
President Prabowo also expressed his pleasure at returning to NTB and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting more development initiatives across the province.
